Best part about Strasbourg: IT SNOWED!!!! It didn't stick, but at least this Michigan girl got a little taste of what winter is really supposed to be like. I was the idiot running around with her tongue hanging out of here mouth :)
Of course that meant that it was freezing. It was worth it!

Yes, I heard about the snow there! My friend said it snowed for her wedding... err... civil ceremony (the actual wedding will come later). It actually snowed here too! On Easter. And a bit yesterday. Unbelievable!
I can't wait to get up to Strasbourg!
I too was unusually excited about the snow. I believe I did some sort of happy dance/wiggle thing, which looking back was slightly embarrassing on my part. But I am not so into the bitter cold that has replaced the snow. Strasbourg is awesome, I wish I could live there next year and commute to Mulhouse, but it's just a wee bit too far. I will have to be content with the weekend visits.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who acted like a kid when it snowed!
Shannon, I feel like whenever it snows in Picardie it never snows in Soissons. I think we have some kind of anti-snow halo over the town. Seriously, no one told me that there was any snow here this weekend.
Andromeda, too bad about not being able to do Strasbourg, but like you said, weekend trips! I bet it makes a perfect weekend day-trip from Mulhouse.

Snow in Switzerland (real close to the Alsace region actually) over Easter weekend was AMAZING, esp. for someone from California!
Haha. It might have snowed. It was snowing in Chauny at 11:30/midnight on Easter, so it might make sense if no one really saw it chez toi. They were just all in bed. It was only very light snow off and on Easter Monday. I was very jealous when I heard that folks in Noyon and Laon woke up to snow on the ground Tuesday. I opened up my shutter quickly only to be let down.
