Sprung!

Luckily I didn't have any positive cultures, my symptoms were clearly cold-like, I didn't run any more fevers, and my doctor saw reason and let me out this morning about 12 hours shy of the full 72 hours. I'm back at home. Let's hope I don't have to go back again, even though I like visiting with everyone up there. Hopefully the weather will be nice tomorrow so that I can enjoy being out!

I just watched a fabulous movie tonight, Penelope. It's a really adorable story about a girl born to very wealthy family, but because of a curse put on her family, she is born with a pig nose and ears. To hide their shame, her family has kept her locked away in the house her whole life. In order to break the curse, she has to marry someone from another wealthy family. It's a very nice movie, beautifully filmed, with a great message about loving and accepting yourself despite any perceived flaws. I really related to the character of Penelope. I highly recommend it. Anyone else seen it?

Glad you can go out a bit this weekend!

I really want to see "Penelope", I liked her movie "Pumpkin", again with the good message of accepting people as they are, asks a lot of interesting questions.

Glad you are out! You are one tough girl ;-)

I have heard of the Penelope movie but haven't seen it. Reminds me of a book though.

Glad you are back at home. Spring time cold season I guess?

I have not worked on either of the two antibiotics you were given, but in some cosmic irony one of the two could possibly be made by a company I maybe work for, but I did not say anything, lol!

I will put up the pictures of the pastrami I made later on the blog.

Take care and enjoy being home.

Andromeda - haven't seen Pumpkin but just looked it up and will have to add it to the Netflix list.

Zhu - what book? Sound like it would be interesting.

GYSC - supposedly there is a spring cold going around. I caught this from my niece. No worries, your secret is safe with me :)

You're back on the outside! (I think it makes it more fun if we use prison language for the hospital, but maybe that's just me).

Anyhow, we should def hang out. except now I have a sore throat and I don't want to share any germs. Thoughts? Also, want to come fabric shopping with me for B's quilt?

Soleil,
are you still out on parole from the hospital?

Just think of that song by "The Go-Go's":
Our Lips are Sealed
HA!

Mary - I agree, I like the prison language to talk about the hospital. I usually call it The Big House anyway! Hmmmm, not so sure about this throat problem, I am trying to avoid violating my parole terms :)

GYSC - I like the use of the prison metaphor! I think "Our Lips Are Sealed" sounds like a good suggestion for Friday night, don't you?

I also really enjoyed Penelope. Saw it with my sisters and we all agreed it was a great feel-good movie. Really happy to hear you are out of the hospital and out and about a bit.

Take care!

Too cool! Thanks for pointing it out. And it reminded me that I can go horseback riding there, had totally forgotten about that possibility!
